Programming

I use several programming techniques to make your site "come alive". Dynamic HTML combines the Javascript programming language and Cascading Style Sheets to create a truly interactive, annimated internet experience. Through the use of ASP(Active Server Pages) I can create database driven sites that have the ability to display dynamic information that is always up to date.

Maintenance and Updates

Some web sites require updates at regular intervals. Some require periodic maintenance. Sometimes people get tired of a design and want to revamp the look and feel, or they started with what they could afford and later want to upgrade to what they really wanted. Whatever the reason, we will always be available to maintain and update the sites which we have designed, regardless of the size of the changes. If the site will require changes at scheduled times, I offer a maintenance program. You can pay a monthly fee for maintenance that nets you a third more hours than what you pay for. An example would be a photographer who adds available pieces to his site once a week. If he contracted for six hours a month of services, he would be billed for four hours. If he needs more than six hours of work, he is billed for the extra hours at full price. He is always charged the contracted fee, even if the workload is less than six hours.

Many times, I see people paying two or three times what they should for this service. If you currently have a web site, chances are that I can save you money. If you are starting a new site, you can rest assured that you will get the most for your hosting dollar.

Search Engine Placement

Having a web site means nothing if nobody can find it. I use software to submit your site to thousands of search engines and directories. The submitting sevice is included with any site design. A search engine listing is only a starting point, though. Good positioning is a time consuming, meticulous task. The most important part of search engine positioning is in the design of the page. I design my sites with search engine positioning in mind. Most of this work is behind the scenes in parts of the page that don't show up on the computer screen. But without it, your site doesn't stand much of a chance of being recognized by the search engines. After the site is complete, there is still much to be done. The software does its share by creating many of the links that search engines love to see. The rest is up to us. You can hire me to do the legwork on a regular basis, or I will instruct you on how to be constantly building the base for good placement.
